One-to-one skills sessions and coach consultations.
Build confidence in open water and on the road, or sit down with a coach to talk through your training and racing. No group to keep up with, no judgement, just you and a coach.
Is this you?
Open water
- You can swim in a pool, but open water makes you nervous
- Your first triathlon swim is coming and you want more open water practice
- You zig-zag, panic at the buoys, or come out of the water exhausted
- You want to have a smooth transition
Road cycling
- You dread riding outdoors
- You've bought a road bike and drop bars feel twitchy
- Clipping in, traffic or roundabouts make you nervous
- You brake hard into every corner and dread descents and group rides
Coaching advice
- You're not sure your training is working
- You want a clear plan for your next race
- You have questions about pacing, nutrition or gear
If any of that sounds familiar, a one-to-one session is the fastest way to fix it.
Why one-to-one
At your pace
The whole session is built around you, so we stop, repeat and progress only when you're ready.
Safe and supported
I'm in the water or on the bike with you, and every session follows a safety plan.
Skills that stick
You leave with two or three simple drills to practise and a short written summary.
One-to-one skills sessions
Choose your session
Just you and a coach, at your pace. Pick open water, road cycling or a coach consultation, then a single session or a pack of three to keep building step by step.
Not sure which session fits? Tell me where you're at and I'll suggest a starting point. Packs can mix swim, ride and consultation sessions.
How it works
- Get in touch. Reach out on our contact form and we'll be in touch to arrange a date and time that works for you.
- Tell me where you're at. Your experience, worries and goals, so I can plan before we meet.
- Train together. Swim sessions include a land warm-up, time in the water and a debrief. Ride sessions start with a bike check.
- Keep progressing. You get drills to practise, and packs build week to week.
Questions
I'm really nervous in open water. Is that okay?
Completely. We start on the shore, go at your pace and never go deeper or further than you're comfortable with.
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
You should be able to swim 100 m in a pool without stopping, in any stroke.
Do I need a wetsuit?
It depends. If you plan to race in a wetsuit, wear it to your session. If the water is below 23°C, we also recommend wearing one.
What if the weather is bad or the water is too cold?
If conditions aren't safe, I'll move your session to another date at no cost.
Can I have a consultation online?
Yes. Consultations work just as well by video call, wherever you are, or we can meet in person.
Do I need clip-in pedals?
No. Any road-worthy bike works. Learning to clip in is a great thing to practise in a session.
How long is a pack valid for?
Use your three sessions within 3 months, mixing swim and ride as you like.
